Education Service Contracting (ESC) - Republic Act No. 8545

  • Government assistance to students and teachers in Private Education program (in the form of tuition subsidies) is extended to qualified elementary school graduates who wish to pursue Junior High School (JHS) – Grades 7 to 10 in private schools.

Teacher Salary Subsidy (TSS)

  • TSS is a program where an annual government subsidy is provided to qualified teachers in ESC- participating JHSs

Senior High School Voucher Program (SHSVP) – Republic Act No. 10533

  • Subsidy given by the State to qualified Grade 10 completers to enable them enroll in a non-DepEd SHS of their choice. The assistance helps to defray the cost of tuition and all other published fees charged by a non-DepEd SHS.

Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES)

Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) is a program under the Free Education Law or Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act of 2017 (RA 10931) which provides financial assistance to deserving students in tertiary education.
The priority beneficiaries for the TES are:
  • Continuing ESGP-PA scholars in the SUCs effective AY 2018-2019;
  • Students who are part of households included in the Listahanan 2.0, ranked according to the estimated per capita household income; and
  • Students not part of the Listahanan 2.0, ranked according to estimated per capita household income based on submitted documentation of proof of income to be determined by the UniFAST Board;
Provided, further, that such prioritization shall not apply to Filipino students in cities and municipalities with no existing SUC or LUC campus.
What are the benefits of the TES grant?
Students enrolled in private HEIs and TVIs are entitled to the following benefits (Sections 23 and 24. IRR of RA 10931):
  • Tuition and other school fees, which shall be equivalent to the tuition and other school fees of the nearest SUC and State-run TVI in their respective area;
  • Allowance for books, supplies, transportation, and miscellaneous personal expenses, including a reasonable allowance for the documented rental or purchase of personal computer or laptop, and other education-related expenses; and
  • Allowance for room and board costs incurred by the students

Tulong-Dunong Program (TDP)

The CHED-Tulong Dunong Scholarship is intended for the high school graduates whose GWA is at least a passing grade and who will enroll in identified priority courses in duly authorized public or private HEIs (Higher Education Institution ). The Tulong Dunong is a Grants-in-Aid (GIA) under the Student Financial Assistance Programs (StuFAPS) of Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Eligible Criteria for CHED-Tulong Dunong Scholarship
  • Filipino citizen of good moral character;
  • Not more than 30 years of age at the time of application, except for senior citizens;
  • High school graduate or a candidate for graduation;
  • With a combined annual gross income of parents/legal guardians not to exceed Php300,000.00. For those who are exempted from filing income tax, there should be a certificate of tax exemption from the BIR. For OFW and seafarers, the latest copy of contract or proof of income; and
  • Not a recipient of any government scholarship and financial assistance.
What is the Worth of the Tulong Dunong Scholarship?
The package of financial assistance to grantees shall be six (6) semesters for a three-year program, eight (8) semesters for a four-year program, or ten (10) semesters for a five-year program. Recipient of the Tulong–Dunong receives Php7,500.00 per semester.

Student Financial Assistance (STUFAP)

  • STUFAP is a program that aims to provide financial assistance to students who are enrolled in an authorized public and private Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s).

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA)

  • OWWA provides training and education programs that benefit OFW’s and their dependents.
  • Scholarship grant offered to qualified dependents of active OWWA members who intend to pursue a 4-5 year baccalaureate course in any preferred colleges/universities.

Municipal Scholarship

  • Municipal Ordinance No. 169, Series of 2019, an ordinance enhancing the College Scholarship grant to poor but deserving students of Gasan, Marinduque.
